What's LOVE got to do with it?
Well, since you asked...

CHAM-PAGNE

A chilled Mimosa

Spicy Sausage Croissant
1 lb. hot sausage
(The 'hot' makes all the difference!)
1 8oz. package cream cheese
1 small can or 1 cup of fresh mushrooms
2 cans of crescent rolls
Brown sausage in skillet and drain.
Mix sausage, while still warm, with cream cheese until mixture is creamy.
Blend in mushrooms.
Lay out one can of crescent rolls in the bottom of a 9x12 baking dish.
Pinch together all the seams.
Spread entire mix across the bottom, leaving room on all sides to pinch closed.
Lay second can of crescent rolls on top; pinch to seal.
Brush with egg whites, if you like.
Bake at 375 degrees for 5-10 minutes, depending on your oven.
Done when top is golden brown.
Cut into squares and
Serve warm!

Scarlett! These sound yummy! They definitely hit my easy and tasty buttons.
ReplyDeleteFYI -- they now make those crescent rolls in sheets without those annoying perforated seams to pinch together. I discovered them for a recipe I have for chicken puffs that requires two *grumble, grumble* pinched together triangles.
Hi, Gloria!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen them! Love something old presented in a whole new way! *g*
And, these ARE the tastiest! Makes for great leftovers, too.
Mmmm, yummy.
ReplyDeleteOMG, yum. Sounds like the perfect accompaniment to a Mimosa (or two or three, what the heck? make it four). Thanks, Scarlett!
ReplyDeleteM Pax ~ So cool you stopped in for a look-see! Try 'em, you'll like 'em!
ReplyDeleteIntricate Knot ~ Soooo (adding an extra 'o' because they're so good) good! My friend, Katie used to make this for us on our Wednesday meetings. The Mimosas were for special, special occasions. We tried to come up with all sorts of *special* occasions!
I see you're up early. *g* I'm flat on my back all day today with ice and heat therapy on my head and neck. Too much of a good thing, I think (Ummm, social media... not Mimosas. Perhaps THAT is, in fact, what I really need. *runs off to the kitchen, giddy*
Hey Scarlett, left you some linky-love on my blog, and the short Hunger Games fanfic you requested. ;)
